Meditation reduces stress, increases resilience and immune function and is a pathway to deeper awareness of the spiritual dimension.

Re-visioning Yoga with Gabriel Halpern
Owner and master trainer at the Yoga Circle in Chicago.
The American dharma has taken not only Eastern teachings, but world culture as well, as its wisdom heritage. To make yoga your own, we have to re-vision everything about yoga so it becomes free from its ancient trappings and given our own spin. Ours is the generation to blend the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual components of yoga with today's much needed deep ecumenism. Yoga's prophetic vision is for a world of peace and teaches how to live to bring that into history.
Gabriel Halpern holds a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Health Psychology, and is a full-time, certified instructor trained at the Iyengar Yoga Institutes in San Francisco and Pune, India. Gabriel has practiced since 1970 and gives workshops nationally. He is the founder and director of the Yoga Circle in Chicago, IL since 1985.
