The eyes are the windows to the soul. Strengthening and protecting the eyes helps not only in reading and seeing, but enhances memory as well as relaxes tension in the face. After many years of study, Aadil has learned how to synthesize the various techniques from many cultures to enhance vision,
improve memory, and relax the stress in the eyes.

Thursday • March 16th • Strengthening and Healing the Lower Back (at One Center Yoga)

Lower back pain is one of the most common maladies in our high-stress
society and reflects the sense of not being supported in life, and the
feeling of being burdened by the outer world. Aadil continues to heal his
own serious lower back injuries, and will teach you how to help clients
using traditional sequences and innovations for the muscular-skeletal relief
of lower back pain as well as pranayama (yogic breathing), and other
techniques to release the emotions that are at the root of low back
discomfort.

Purna Yoga mean "whole" or "complete", it encompasses the whole being, not
merely the physical body but also the mind, the emotions, the spirit and how
we relate to our selves and others. True yoga is the process of

2 pm: Observing and Adjusting Asanas
Learn core principles of alignment and observation so you can see when a student’s pose could benefit from an adjustment, then learn how to make the adjustments safely and effectively, using words, hands and props.
6:30 pm: Shoulder Mobility, Alignment and Strength
Learn simple, effective ways to mobilize, strengthen and align your shoulders with yoga. You’ll safely get the most out of your postures by using anatomically precise technique and personalized modifications.
7 - 9 pm: Yoga Injuries: Causes and Prevention or Yoga Teaching Safety
This lecture/demonstration will teach you what causes the most common yoga injuries, how to avoid them, and what to do if you or your students have them.
Saturday • November 18
9 am: Feet and Legs: Anatomy and Practice
The feet and legs are the foundation of standing poses, and standing poses are the foundation of all yoga postures. This class will teach you how to use foot and leg anatomy to optimally strengthen, stretch, balance and align your feet, calves, shins, knees and thighs in standing and other asanas.
2 pm: Sacroiliac joints: Anatomy and Practice
The sacroiliac joints link the spine to the pelvis. Injury here is common among yoga students. Symptoms range from mild aching to debilitating pain that radiates to the back hips and legs. Learn the anatomy, symptoms and signs of SI problems as well as yoga sequences to relieve pain.
Sunday • November 19
8:30 am: The Art of Twists
Twists relieve back tension, free your spine and massage your internal organs. Learn to use forward bends, backbends and side bends to systematically prepare yourself, then experience how easy it can be, and how good it can feel, to twist deeply.
12:30 pm: Inversions with Variations
Inversions are both rejuvenating and invigorating. Variations help you get the most out of them. Come for a thorough and rewarding practice of handstand, headstand, shoulderstand, supported inversions and their many variations, including preparatory and recovery poses. Modifications will be made to accommodate students who have less experience or special needs.
