| Yoga:
Something for EVERYONE! Lighten Up Yoga and Healing Arts Center was established by Lillah Schwartz in 1981. Our center has been located at 60 Biltmore Avenue in scenic downtown Asheville for more than 15 years. Lighten Up has a reputation in the area as the premier yoga studio of Western North Carolina. Evidenced by being named "Best in WNC" by readers of Mountain Express for two consecutive years. Lighten Up is also recognized as a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training School. Founding director Lillah Schwartz has also been published in a wide variety of health and news magazines. Most recently in New Life Journal and in Prevention Magazine as an authority on Yoga for back pain relief and neck and shoulder pain relief. She has produced two widely successful videos: Yoga: Freedom from Back Pain and Yoga: Relief from Neck and Shoulder Pain. These videos have been reviewed by Yoga Journal and are sold through several major yoga outlets. Yoga: Relief from Neck and Shoulder Pain was just recommended by Prevention Magazine, June 2003, as a suitable way for inflexible people to find relief. Our center has a diverse clientele. From the middle-aged professionals, to college students, vibrant senior citizens and everyday lifestyle yoga enthusiasts. Lighten Up offers something for everyone seeking healing and growth realized through persistence and innovative programs. Our center has an excellent location in downtown Asheville with a western view of the mountains. It is within walking distance of the thriving downtown district with restaurants, shops, art galleries, performance venues and hotels. Downtown Space Rental Available Having a workshop or seminar?
